Publicity of work
 

Ministry of Culture assures the publicity of work in accordance with the Standing Orders of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia (Article 50 and 51), the Media Act and the Act on the Access to Information of Public Character.
 

In the scope of public relations we plan, organize and implement professional and organizational duties and are engaged in the promotion and entire image of the Ministry. 
 

Publicity of work is assured by:

• providing media of timely and precise information, news and reports deriving from the Ministry's field of activity,
• press conferences and press releases,
• announcements of events and activities (both domestic and international),
• publishing various contents on the web and by publicist activities.

The Minister and State Secretary assure the publicity of the Ministry’s activities. 
 

Information, explanations, notifications, reports, news and other data are introduced by the Minister, State Secretary, PR advisers and also other officials of the Ministry by the Minister's authority. 
 
 
PR field of activities includes: 

• cooperation in organising media relations and public communications,
• ensuring that complete and up-dated information is presented to the public on the activities of the Ministry and ensuring simultaneous responses,
• coordination of providing access to information of public character,
• preparation of media events,
• preparation of the program of internal communications in the Ministry,
• cooperation in organising and performing tasks of Slovenian cultural promotion abroad,
• editing publications and planning the maintenance and upgrades of the Ministry web pages,
• cooperation in preparing financial plans of funds for the popularisation of cultural activities,
• coordination and cooperation in public procurements, preparation of contracts with operators of the popularisation of cultural activities and with suppliers of goods and services for the Ministry,
• performing all forms of public relations and their management,
• managing the total image of the Ministry,
• monitoring the policy of prize-awarding in the field of culture,
• cooperation in the organisation of the Slovene cultural holiday with Prešeren awards,
• cooperation in organisational-technical tasks at protocol events at home and abroad,
• cooperation in creating of the work program on the popularisation of cultural activities.
