Expert committees and counsels
In realising public interests for culture, a cooperation of civil companies is very important which through professional and interested public participate in the procedures for developing and monitoring cultural policy. Civil company is represented by the expert committees that are advisory bodies for individual areas or cultural viewpoints, Cultural Chamber of Slovenia and National Counsel for Culture.

Area-specific national counsels that are expert and advisory bodies for deciding on expert matters for individual cultural area (for example Librarianship) are nominated pursuant to legislation applicable to individual areas of culture.

Funds
At the Ministry of Culture, the Prešeren Fund also operates. It is managed by the management board of the Prešeren Fund pursuant to the provisions in the Act on Prešeren Award and in the Statute on the Prešeren award.
